My passion is finding ways to communicate valuable evidence so it has more impact. At Ugly Research, I help people design user interfaces for guided collaboration inside or outside their organization -- for an example, see my Tiny Soapbox demo project.
In past lives, I've worked in science and tech publishing (Reed-Elsevier), enterprise integration and business process management software (webMethods), consumer content (STATS), oil and gas (Apache, Western Gas Resources).

My Education.
- PhD, Public Policy Analysis, Univ of Colorado. Thesis: Examined how diverse communities of stakeholders exchange knowledge and evidence when seeking solutions to complex problems.
- MBS, Computer Science concentration, Univ of Colorado. Thesis: Programmed a Gaussian air pollution dispersion model.
- BS, Chemical Engineering, Oklahoma State University. (An incredible OSU ChemE, Sanjiv Sidhu, founded i2 software.)
- Booker T. Washington High School; Tulsa, Oklahoma. (An outstanding person in my class, Dan Piraro, draws Bizarro.)
