Science-Based Parenting & Skeptikids try to inject more evidence into the process.

Parents are doing some interesting things to fight back against antivaxxers and others who don't want to look at evidence, science, or reason. Science-Based Parenting is a blog run by four dads who say: "We are not scientists. We are science-based skeptics. A skeptic is one who prefers beliefs and conclusions that are reliable and valid to ones that are comforting or convenient, and therefore rigorously and openly applies the methods of science and reason to all empirical claims, especially their own. A skeptic provisionally proportions acceptance of any claim to valid logic and a fair and thorough assessment of available evidence.... Skepticism values method over any particular conclusion."

Skeptikids is a group "building critical thinkers through hands-on science". It's a program for kids that lives by the mantra that "Science is a Verb!" Their goal is to encourage scientific inquiry among children. Amen to that.

I check out the blog (science based parenting blog). Sad to say, its topic was far from its theme which is supposed to be about parenting.
